Well not quite – it’s actually only six years old – but today they release their 50th magazine and they are celebrating in style. The bumper issue is a visual feast of party recipes, show-stopping cakes and envy-inducing travel writing.
That said, our favourite piece is Jamie’s nostalgic look back at his birthplace. He’s travelled all over the world but still calls Essex home, and also the home of so much great food. Looking at the evidence, he may well be right.
On top of that, Jamie also has a cook-off with mag editor Andy Harris, and the team explore their favourite 50 chefs, restaurant and foodie destinations before taking a look back at their first 50 issues.
Jamie says: “Well, folks, here we are – issue 50! What a journey it’s been since we first set out to create a magazine celebrating beautiful photography and interesting food stories, while also giving readers content that’s relevant, doable and inspiring. Six years on and I believe we’ve achieved just that.”
From here the magazine can only get better. Andy says: “We’re all really excited about our 50th birthday issue! It feels such a milestone that we also decided to redesign the magazine a bit – adding loads more content and easy recipes and we’ve also started a members club for all new and old subscribers.”
