Hi guys,
Everyone I know seems to be on holiday at the moment, and I won’t be far behind them; I plan on chilling with the family and recharging my batteries before baby number four arrives.
So the next few weeks are looking very exciting, and to top it all off, September is also the month the cooking qualification I’ve created in partnership with Edexcel launches in schools around the UK. It’s called Jamie’s Home Cooking Skills and it’s the start of a real journey for me. As of this school year, the government has made cooking lessons mandatory for all students in British secondary schools.
This is a golden opportunity to equip kids with life skills and show them how fun cooking can be. No doubt I’ll learn a lot from teachers and students as the school year gets going. Keep an eye out for the website, which we’ll be launching very soon. I never thought I’d say this, but bring on the school year!
See you in September.

A true taste of Italy
This month we see the launch of Jamie’s exciting new range of authentic fresh handmade filled Italian pasta. The pasta is made in Brescia in the North of Italy where each shape is hand-folded by a small family-run business. All the pasta is made using free range eggs, quality flour and that magic Italian touch, then extruded using a bronze dye to create an amazing coarse texture. The range includes Awesome Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni, Delicious Walnut & Gorgonzola Fazzoletto and Beautiful Tomato and Mozzarella Caramella. In addition to the pasta, the range also includes an authentic Italian Potato Gnocchi. Look out for it now in major supermarkets.

Jamie Magazine
The August issue of Jamie Magazine is full of the things that make British summertime special. We join Jamie, Jools and the girls for an Oliver family barbecue and drop in on his dad’s Essex pub. We meet the UK’s artisan ice cream makers and present our shortlist of the country’s best chippies. We have gorgeous gin cocktails, stylish cakes and teas to drink with them, a step-by-step guide to scones, and Jamie’s latest tomato recipes. We even pay a visit to a summer circus, which tours the West Country with its own restaurant in tow. All this, plus a dish a day in our Monthly Menu section, makes the new issue of Jamie essential summer reading.
You can buy Jamie at WHSmith or in supermarkets, or take advantage of this issue’s exciting offer for new subscribers – a set of free Jme mugs, worth £25.
