Michelle Smith, School Projects Manager

Michelle has more than 12 years of experience in food and health in the public sector. Her recent successes include the transformation of primary school meals in Bournemouth, where Michelle generated £615,000 of external funding to fund a new hot meal provision and new kitchens in several schools. As well as helping the roll-out of the "Let's Get Cooking" programme in London on behalf of the School Food Trust, Michelle has also established more than 300 after-school cooking clubs and trained more than 600 people in core cooking skills, giving them the confidence, knowledge and resources to teach more families within their communities how to cook.
