The Job

Our role as food specialist is to demonstrate our passion for food and enthusiasm for Jamie's food philosophies, together with an excellent knowledge for Recipease standards and ingredients when preparing meals with our team with energy in our impeccable kitchen.

Our Experience

We're passionate abour food and have the confidence to talk openly to customers in an inspiring way. We have proven team-working and communication skills and we're comfortable sharing our passion for great food and ways of cooking with everyone that visits the shop. We're calm under pressure and well organised with a 'can-do' approach. We enjoye producing great quality food consistently to set recipes every day and have experience of maintaining spotless kitchens.

+ Work as part of a team; buddying up with other food specialists, helping us work smarter not harder
+ Am really careful when handling the ingredients
+ Know how to use our ingredients to create the Go meals
+ Prepare food batches and the cook line with energy and style
+ Can accurately and quickly prepare every Go meal on the menu, using the build to charts to help me
+ Inform my food champion when stock is running low and when ingredients are not the best quality
+ Know what food needs to be prepared and what meals need to be created at the start of my shift
+ Work quickly and carefully to meet my pre-set deadlines
+ Make sure that every Go meal and pizza is packaged and labelled properly
+ Control the wastage as I know that failing to do so will be an unnecessary cost to Recipease.

+ Follow all health, safety and hygiene rules required by law and by Recipease in everything I do
+ Follow the cleaning rotas to make sure we provide excellent standards of cleanliness
+ Only waste ingredients that are not up to standard
+ Make sure I check deliveries thoroughly, ensuring the supplier is nominated to work with us
+ Care about our ingredients, and make sure they are stored and rotated properly
+ Am confident when using our mechanical equipment in the kitchen, and I understand the dangers related to the equipment
+ Am quick and efficient in managing and maintaining the dish wash station
+ Can set up and close down every shift to ensure maximum efficiency
+ Am clear when I handover my shift to the next person, informing them about anything they need to complete
+ Have completed and passed all my basic food hygiene training.
