I'm going to add rum for mojito sorbet.
i just LOVE ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. add abit of garlic.... really gorgeous. i like to make it for my dog... she LOVES ITTTTTTT
Geoffrey, I saw that version and tried but I have to admit it's much nicer plain with fruits.
Never been a fan of booze in deserts tho, lol
I done about 6 different sorbets but never fail with lemon, lime and orange.
I do cheat a bit and put some orange juice in. (only fresh 100%orange)
Jamie, I got mint the other day and since it's been so good weather lately I put it in my garden, think it will be ok?
xxx
Love ur sorbet, Jamie! I just got one in the freezer I made with oranges, lemons, lime and mint.
My boyfriend will love it when he gets home from a long day at work. :)

hi jamie
its summer here in new zealand and your sorbet sounds perfect after a hot summer's day! sorry to be yet another asking the same question - but where do you get peppermint from? can it be substituted with common garden variety mint?
thanks heaps.
gidget
this sorbet recipe gave me the zip and zing and refreshing qualities on my tongue well before making. just thinking about it let me know it would be a winner. and speaking of sorbet, back a way, there was a sorbet you made with campari and passionfruit which was good, but i subsituted the campari for cointreau instead and the orange element worked a treat. nicely done, thankyou for the inspiration. nothing like a nudge in the right direction to allow ones own passion to take flight.
I'm enjoying it ryt now...
Yum!
I love it Vry much, Thx Jamie.
hi Jamie i wach your programes every night,i love them.u are the best cook ever not to long ago i braught your book and had a go of some of your recipes they turned out great :)...i have 1 question when u say peppermint were do u get it from ? xx

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but when you say fresh peppermint is that just normal fresh mint that you can buy from greengrocers/supermarkets, or is specifically peppermint? If so where can I get it from?
Thanks and sorry again for being stupid!
Realy nice desert, I never thought i could use peppermint in a lime sorbet. THANKS Jme.
Dear Mr. Oliver,
About 3 months ago, I bought your book (Jamie at Home - cook your way to the good life), and I must say it's one of the best cooking books I have ever seen. With such a well-treated pages, images (except for the dead rabbits and poor chicken, thought ;) ), everything. So, before a finally start my comment, I just wanted to congratulate you for the book, by saying it's already included on my cooking instruments!
My comment is about the plumb sorbet on that book. I actually have this terrible crush for blueberries, so, I put them instead of your plumbs, and, by not having any gin available, I used that ron with lemon (used on cuba libre).. So, instead of the orange zest, I decided to make it lima zest, once there was already lemon on the ron. Ok, now you would be mad once I changed all your recipe, for a silly crush on the berries. But I must say, that I followed all your logic on the recipe, so, still, it's your recipe, with a tiny slip. :) It turned out to be absolutely finished about 5 minutes after I placed our blueberry sorbet on the table!
So, thanks again, mr. Oliver! You actually made me cook my way to the good life!
Best wishes,
Julia.
