I did this one for Christmass Dinner Dessert, and it's absolutely fantastic! Everybody loved the contrast of tastes!
Great one Jamie! One of my all time favs!
Dear Mr Oliver,
My, what an exciting recipe you have here presented to us. Is this the cuisine of England which I have heard so much about? In the states we think of pizza as a savory food, but you've opened my eyes with this crazy European stuff. My wife Jessica agrees that you are a creative dynamo, and would also like to visit you in your restaurant during our vacation in Europe next fall. Could you hold a table for us near the salad bar? I don't eat raw eggs, but my wife is willing so long as they have been correctly irradiated.
Yours sincerely,
Quince Crampton III
Hi Jamie! This looks absolutaly fantastic! Wow - I didn't tried it yet, but sure will. Let my tell you a story: I have 3 great friends - we get together weekly to teach each other to cook more interesting food (like this one) and encourage each other to love coocking. We are Afrikaans speaking and live in a beautifull valley near Cape Town RSA. I entered for a compitition to cook for a local news paper on Woman's day.- my friends said we'll never win. well, we won and the 4 of us coocked that evening for the newspaper. It was SO excited - the 4 housewifes felt like 4 VIP's... the photo's and article in the paper the next day was just wow!! I told them (my friends) afterwords that our next stop will be in Jamie Oliver's kitchen...! (of cause my friends don't believe me). Well that is my dream and I hope it will not stay a dream and that I will one day have enough money to visit my favorite cheff. I would love to walk in your garden and through your kitchen one day... maybe help you peel patato's or whatever... Thanks Jamie - you are the BEST!!
I made them with a little variation because I didn't have pinenuts at the time so I used almonds and other types of nuts. But it rocks! thanks for these incredible ideas!
