Grand Ma\\\'s Kitchen sink slaw

You can make it sweeter, spicier or a blend of both – works well with everything, but we really like this with BBQ or served in Fish Tacos. In this part of the country (the South) we dress our BBQ sandwiches with cole slaw.

Ingredients
Must have:
Shredded cabbage (or chopped)
Shredded carrots (or chopped)
Scallions (or Vidalia Onion)
Celery
Cilantro (fresh chopped))
Granny Smith apple (1 for 4-6 servings)
Walnut pieces

Good to have:
Bell pepper
Fresh mango (2 is better than 1)
Cherry tomatoes

May wish to add:
Red pepper flakes (careful)
Jalapeño (just a couple)
White seedless grapes
Dressing:
1/2 c• mayonnaise
2 tbsp• vinegar or lemon juice
1 tbsp• grated onion
1/2 tsp• celery seed
1 tsp• sugar
1/2 tsp• salt
1/8 tsp• pepper

Method
Mix the dressing ingredients well and set aside.

Chop all the slaw ingredients into small pieces, halving the tomatoes and grapes, toss until mixed, then add the walnuts and dressing – stirring until mixed well. Be certain not to add too much dressing – just a few spoonfuls at a time until the ingredients are lightly coated.
