A rather unsual dish

Ingredients
1 small onion sliced into thin half moons

½ scotch bonnet, sliced OR 1-2 red chillies sliced.

4 bilimbi , sliced or juice of ½ lime

4 curry leaves, chopped

½ cup Maldivian smoked tuna or tinned tuna ( drained)

Salt

½ cup coconut milk

¼ cup water

Method
iTHis is an old recipe , a very simple but tasty dish, which my 18 month old loves. Good for me cos it doesnt take long to make and goes without bursting my budget. I serve it along with some veges and he is wolfs it down. Its not kids dish , i omit the chillies of course .

1. Place onion in a mixing bowl, , add salt and bilimbi/lime juice. Using your hands , scrunch the onions till they release their juices and goes slightly soft.

2. Add chillies and curry leaves and scrunch again( protect your hands from the chillies)

3. Add tuna, and flake it up till you have crumbled fish mixture. Taste, should be slightly sour. Adjust salt and add extra bilimbi or lime juice if needed.

4. Add coconut milk, and mix carefully, then add water. Mix well.

serve with steamed rice and a salad Enjoy!!:)
