Hi,

I am also portuguese and I can tell that not even the recipe is right. Yes, tmscorreia is right, the proper name is "pastel de bacalhau" or "pastéis de bacalhau", patéis being the plural of pastel. There is also one main ingredient missing, mashed potato. And there is no batter in the recipe. The "pastéis de bacalhau" are "rugby ball" shaped because they are shaped with two tablespoons.
Acra is a caribean recipe and is completely different in taste and also in shape (acras in the pic). And the recipe is also wrong if it is acra. Some ingredients missing.

I will post a "pastéis de bacalhau" recipe and pic when I have more time.

Cheers,
Henrique

hi,
I'm portuguese and i have to say that the really portuguese name for that recipe is ''Pastéis de Bacalhau'' and not Acras (that's the name for some other recipe in Spain, i think).

thanks.
