Fit for company but also well suited for Brunch, this quiche is not only versatile but delicious too! It\'s one of my family\'s favourites.
Yield: 8 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
1 10\" deep-dish unbaked pie shell
5 large eggs
1 green onion, chopped•
3 ounces (1 can) french-fried onion rings.
6 oz shredded Swiss cheese (175g)
5 oz• shredded cheddar cheese (145g)
1 bunch asparagus, cooked, cut into 2-inch pieces, (1 lb• or 455g)
3/4 cup milk (185ml)
˝ cup cream (125ml)
Mix together all of the ingredients as above and pour into the pie shell.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean.
Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
