  • 1 10" deep-dish unbaked pie shell
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 green onion, chopped.
  • 3 ounces (1 can) french-fried onion rings.
  • 6 oz shredded Swiss cheese (175g)
  • 5 oz. shredded cheddar cheese (145g)
  • 1 bunch asparagus, cooked, cut into 2-inch pieces, (1 lb. or 455g)
  • 3/4 cup milk (185ml)
  • ½ cup cream (125ml)
Mix together all of the ingredients as above and pour into the pie shell.

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean.

Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Fit for company but also well suited for Brunch, this quiche is not only versatile but delicious too! It's one of my family's favourites.

Yield: 8 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Difficulty: Easy


Method


Mix together all of the ingredients as above and pour into the pie shell.

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean.
