There\'s nothing plain about this banana coconut oatmeal. It\'s one of my favourite flavour combinations, and who doesn\'t like to start the day with tropical flavours?! Yum! This recipe is enough for two kiddies or one grown-up.
Ingredients
1 cup water
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1 banana, chopped
2 tbsp shredded coconut
Pinch ground nutmeg
Method
Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. In go the oats, chopped banana, coconut, and nutmeg. Turn down the heat to medium/low and simmer while stirring frequently for two or three minutes. And that\'s it!
Be a kid again and top it with a splash of milk and a sprinkling of brown sugar.
