Beef and Broccoli

This is so simple and, to me, it just tasted right. Nice and quick too!

Ingredients
1 piece rump steak

1 bunch spring onions

1 fat clove garlic

1 small head of broccoli, the main stalk sliced into thin rounds and the rest separated into florets.

1 large flat mushroom

Dark soy sauce

smoked sea salt

Vegetable oil

water

Method
Chop the garlic and the spring onions. Stir fry them in the vegetable oil, and about 1 tbs dark soy sauce.
Add in the sliced mushroom, and mix well to cover with the soy sauce.
Add the broccoli stalk first, cook a bit and then add the florets.
Add 5 tbs water and put a lid on so that the broccoli can steam.
While that is cooking, heat a dry drying pan to smoking hot.
Slap the steak onto it.
Cook for roughly 3 - 4 minutes per side. It should be browned and juicy, pink in the middle - but do cook it how YOU like it.

Serve up the vegetables onto a plate.
Slice the steak across the grain, lay it onto the veg.
Spoon any juices from the veg pan over the steak.
