Ingredients
1 tbsp oil
1 Β½ pounds caribou meat
1 large chopped onion
2 stalks chopped celery
Β½ cup chopped turnip
2 small chopped carrots
3 cups water
1 can tomato or cream of mushroom soup
2 tbsp flour or cornstarch
Β½ cup cold water
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
Cut meat into small chunks pour oil into pot and cook meat over medium high heat for ten minutes stir from time to time add more oil if needed
Add onions and cook until golden brown add water, carrot, turnip, celery, potato and soup stir well
Bring to boil simmer for two hours add more water if necessary
Add cornflour to water and mix well add slowly to stew mixing well season and serve
