Is a yummy side dish that takes five mins to make! I often serve it with cous cous and plain fish. If it is too dry for you, then add a splash of water to loosen it up a bit!
400 grm tin chickpeas
1tsp curry powder (I use madras but I like it spicy!)
1/2tsp chilli powder
one tbsp olive oil
1 red onion, chopped
2tbsp tomato puree
splash of water if it gets quite dry
Heat the olive oil in a saucepan, saute the onion until soft but not brown. Add the spices and stir, after a minute add the chickpeas and stir for one min and then add the tomato puree. Stir for a couple of minutes until heated up, then serve.
