Chilli, Garlic & Ginger Mussels with Bruschetta Toasts

Ingredients
serves 4-6

2kg rope-grown mussels
2 chillis, mix up the colours
thumb-size piece of ginger
1 garlic clove
6 rashers of smoked bacon
200ml creme friache
pinch o salt
handful of pink peppercorns
handful of fresh basil
50g butter
75 ml good dry cider
1 pack of bruschetta breads
