Chorizo Bread

I didnt make a large loaf. Instead I made small ciabatta shaped litlle loaves and rolls filled with juicy chorizo.

Ingredients
1/4 lb• Chourizo
2 c• flour
1 1/2 tsp• baking powder
1 tsp• baking soda
1/4 tsp• salt
1/4 c• butter, softened
2 eggs, beaten

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly spoon flour in measuring cup, level off. In large bowl combine flour, , baking powder, baking soda and salt. Blend well. Using pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until crumbly. Add eggs. Stir until well blended. Set aside and let it rise for at least one hour and a half.

Take a grapefruit sized amount of dough, knead it further and then roll it out on to the board. Place the chorizo in the middle and fold it in, ensuring that all edges are covered. Repeat as necessary.

Place rolls on a lightly greased tray and in the oven the oven to cook for 30 to 40 minutes!

Serve warm and enjoy!

This was my first attempt at making any sort of bread but it wasn't good.<br /> Too dry unfortunately. It seemed more like Pork Pie pastry but thicker.

Oh my word, sorry but this was really not tasty .... how can the dough rise without yeast? It was so dry.
