I made these as a test run before the big Christmas bake off.... they were very good & stayed fresh for quite a while. So of course they were included in everyones Christmas Treats. My brother inlaw told me yesterday (Feb 9, 09) that he has just opened his from Christmas & they were so good he wouldnt share them with his 2 year old son.
Ingredients
125gm butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup castor sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 & 3/4 cups self raising flour
3/4 cup M&M\'s
3/4 cup dark choc chips
Method
Heat oven to 180 degrees C
Beat butter with sugars until light & creamy
Add egg & vanilla, beat until well conbined
Sift over flour, mix with a wooden spoon until just combined
Then mix in choc chips & M&M\"s by hand. (You can add up to 250gm of each if you like)
Mould dessert spoonfuls into rounds & bake for 10 minutes
