Creamed Chicken with Basil served with Fettuccine.

Creamed Chicken with Basil served with Fettuccine.

Fettuccine (literally \"little ribbons\" in Italian) is a type of pasta popular in Rome. It is a flat, thick noodle made of egg and flour, similar to what is called tagliatelle elsewhere in Italy. This is a very easy and rapidly made meal.

Ingredients

Method
Directions
Saute the chicken, onions, and mushrooms in oil for 4 minutes.
In a large saucepan, melt some butter; stir in some flour until smooth.
Add chicken broth, bouillon and cream.
Stir in basil and pepper.
Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Combine with the chicken mixture.
Serve over fettuccini.

I really love this recipe as it is so easy to prepare. however i added milk and only a little cream as i have a cardiologist husband who would rather avoid the cholestrol. My children really enjoyed this chicken dish as they love basil. we have a basil bush so I could add plenty of freshly plucked leaves of basil to it.

so thanks a million kye.

I am about to go to the kitchen to make it again.
