Delicious Homemade Spelt Bread

This makes a delicious homemade bread from white organic spelt flour. Spelt is the oldest grain to man besides Amaranth flour. It it very low in gluten and a couple of my fiends I\'ve given recipe that have Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Colitis can tolerate this bread. Eventually my friend resolved their colon problem. The commercial bread is loaded with mono-diglyceries which are nothing more than hydrogenated oils. See this article about mono-diglycerides. http://www.dldewey.com/monody.htm Read the article on hydrogenated oils and aspartame as well. http://www.dldewey.com/hydroil.htm Also read Dr. D\'Amato\'s book, Eat Right For Your Blood Type! D\'Amato is a well known researcher in this field. Excellent book and it makes perfect sense to eat by your blood type! Know the foods you should avoid!

Ingredients
Here is my recipe for spelt bread using a bread maker:

Homemade Spelt Bread
( Made in a Breadmaker Machine)

Ingredients:

3 Cups Organic Whole Spelt Flour ( white )
2 tablespoons 2% organic milk
2 tablespoons local honey - helps with allergies
1 tablespoon organic Butter ( for flavor )
1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup 85-90 degree warm water make sure it is between this
1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
2 1/4 teaspoons of Yeast or one packet

Method
* Use a thermometer to make sure water is between 85 and 90 degrees
otherwise bread will not rise

Mix liquid together, pour in bread machine

Already have the dry ingredients mixed together.
Pour dry ingredients into bread machine on top of water.

Make a hole with finger in flour,
Put 2 1/4 teaspoons or 1 packet Yeast in hole in flour

Hit start on bread machine.

Sunbeam makes the best bread machin for $39.95

Makes 1 1/2 pound loaf - (it can be frozen for later use)

This is a horribly written recipe. Yeast doesn't activate at that temp.

Can you please tell me which cycle you set on your bread machine please? Mine says select white but some recipes I have read say rapid. I am totally confused.

I don't have a bread machine - could you not display options of how to make this with a regular oven?
