Dill rice

Dill rice

Rice as a side dish, a little bit enhanced. Goes well with fish and a lot of Indian curries.

Ingredients
1 cup of rice, washed, soaked for 15 min, and drained

1 good splash of oil

2 cardamom pods

1 green chili, finely chopped

1/2 cup of fresh dill, finely chopped

salt

Method
Heat the oil in a sauce pan, add cardamom, chili, rice, dill, and salt, and fry for a few minutes at maximum heat. Add two cups of water and cover with a lid. Wait until the lid is hot. Turn off the heat and let the rice absorb the water. Do not uncover for twenty minutes or so. Put on a plate to serve and loosen the rice with a fork.

At least this cooking method always works well for me... :)
