Dutch Apple Cake

This cake is best in the winter, it is beautifully light and fluffy. Serve with ice-cream, custard or double cream. Ready in over an hour.

Ingredients
100g Butter
200g Caster Sugar
1 egg
1 1\\2 tsp Vanilla Extract
190g Plain Flour
1 tbsp Baking Powder
175ml Milk
1\\2 tsp Salt
2 Apples
4 tbsp Caster Sugar
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Method
1. Get a large bowl, sieve the flour, baking powder and salt into it.
2. Cream together the butter and the sugar in another bowl, then beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fluffy.
3. Next add the flour mix alternatively with the milk, begin then end with the flour mix. Spread it into a greased 18x28 baking tin.
4. Press the apple chunks into the batter in rows, sprinkle with 3-4 tbsp\'s of cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 180*c for 50 minutes, check the cake then let it stand for 10 minutes.
