Egyptian 'Baharat' (Spice Mix)

Ingredients
4 parts paprika
4 parts ground black pepper
1 part ground coriander
1 part ground cloves
1 part ground cardammom
1 part ground cummin
1 part ground cinammon
1 part ground ginger
0.5 part ground allspice
1 part ground dried chilli (optional)

Method
Either ground the whole spices yourself (except the paprika and ginger) or use pre-ground spices. Use as a dry-rub for grilled/baked meat, poultry or fish. Can also be used as a flavouring for an Egyptian rice stuffing (recipe on my blog).

Could be "Ras El Hanout" roughly transalated it means top shelf, I think but great when fried with onions, chilli, and a meat of your choice add tomato and honey and you have a great dish.

We bought a spice called Maxi Blend recently during a trip to Egypt. It smells like it may contain the ingredients listed above. Do you know if Baharat is know by this name as well?
