FINGERFOOD - sweet puff pastry nibbles - with apples or pears

I have to warn you - these little ones are really addictive! They are quick and easy to make, too, and I don´t need to write down the amount of every ingredient as there is nothing to mix - bake away and enjoy!

Ingredients
puff pastry

apples/pears

jam of choice

powder sugar

Method
Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Take the puff pastry out of the freezer, place it on a baking tray laid out with parchment paper and let it defrost. Take a fork and pierce the dough about every centimeter (that will provide it from rising too much in the oven), then coat the puff pastry with jam.

Cut the puff pastry in pieces the size you prefer.

Wash and cut the apples or pears in thin little slices and place them on the puff pastry. Dust with powder sugar and bake the nibbles in the oven for 10 minutes.

Take the baking tray out of the oven and coat the apple/pear slices with some more jam, put the tray back in the oven and bake until the pastry starts to get lightly brown.

You can serve them hot/warm or cold. When you serve them still warm they are very nice with a matching tiny ball of ice-cream on top.
