Cheap, hearty soup. Don\'t dismiss it because of the garlic, you\'ll be surprised how good it tastes.
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 4 stale bread slices
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups chicken broth or water + stock cube (which is my choice because in this recipe it doesnít make much of a difference and I rather save my good broth for other soups)
- cured ham, chopped (about 1 and 1/2 tbsp)
Fry the whole garlic cloves in the oil. Add the bacon.
When cooked, add the bread.
When golden, add the paprika.
After a few seconds, add the broth (or the water with the stock cube dissolved). Let it cook for a while.
Before serving, add the eggs, and as soon as the white is cooked, serve.
