This is a beautiful cake for your tea in the afternoon or your breakfast with family. Enjoy this recipe!!!!
Ingredients
4 tbs butter
100 m molasses
100 g sugar
150 ml milk
50 ml yogurt
200 g flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tbs cinnamon powder
2 tsp ground ginger
Method
In a saucepan melt the margarine and stir in molasses. Remove from heat and let cool for 20 minutes. Add the sugar and the yogurt. reserve. In a bowl, sift together the flour, the baking powder, the cinnamon and the ginger. Mix the dry ingredients mixture and beat for a minute or until the cream is smooth. Place in a small baking tin and bake for 30 minutes. Check is the center is dry, if so remove from the oven if not leave for more 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Then cut into pieces and serve.
