  • Makes approx 3.5 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of hazelnuts (soak for 3hrs then discard water)
  • 3 & 1/4 cups of fresh water
  • 1/4 cup agave syrup (or more if you prefer a very sweet milk)
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 & 1/2 tsps caramel flavouring (or use vanilla)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
1. Place all of the ingredients in a high speed blender. Blend the mixture till creamy and quite smooth.
2. Lay a clean tea towel in a fine hair sieve and place over a deep bowl or pan.
3. Pour about half the mixture into the towel/sieve. Draw the towel up into a bundle, twist together, then using your hands, squeeze the milk through the towel.
4. Once you've squeezed all the milk through, throw away the dry nut mixture and repeat with the rest of the milk.
5.Pour into a jug or large bottle , then pop it in the fridge till it's nice and cold.

This is a creamy,dairy free hazelnut 'milk ' flavoured with chocolate, caramel and cinnamon. You can serve it cold (as a drink) or on breakfast cereals and even serve it hot, like hot drinking chocolate :-)

Method


1. Place all of the ingredients in a high speed blender. Blend the mixture till creamy and quite smooth.
