Just an Octopus

Ingredients
A medium size octopus about 1,5 kilos
3-4 seeds of black pepper
2 leaves of laurel
1 glass of red dry wine

Method
Lay the octopus in a steamer with water (not salted) and cook it for at least 35 minutes. The time of cooking depends on how fresh is the octopus. The more fresh is the octopus, the most time it needs to be cooked.Anyway in the steamer you must add all the ingredients(pepper, laurel, wine) . When the octopus is ready you may serve it after you have cut, its tentacles, or you can gratine it, in the oven for about 5 minutes in 200 celsius grads.
You can serve it in a wide dish and you may add salt ,dry oregano, fine extra virgin oil, and an extra quality vinegar, like balsamico.
Drink a glass of white dry wine or the traditional Greek OYZO.
This plate is very nutritius because octopus contains a big amount of zinc... the substance of youth.

Really nice dish. I had it in a Greek restaurant the other day in London, Finchley rd. High in protein, low in fat and good for your health. Recommended!!!
