Kama

Kama is like ancient muesli. It is rich in fiber and protein, quick and easy to use, can be made sweet or savory or salty, can also be used in cakes, truffles, bread, porridges, cheesecakes etc. You can buy packages \"kama\" but you can also make your own.

Ingredients
200 g dried green peas
150 g wheat grains
150 g rye grains
150 g barley groats

Method
Boil all the grains and peas until soft and mix. place a sheet of grease-proof paper on a griddle and spread the mixed grains on it. Let dry in the oven in low heat. Turn up the heat and roast in the oven until crisp and brownish. Let them cool and get very dry. Grind them in a coffee mill but leave a bit coarse. Place in an air tight jar.
To make breakfast with kama, take a glass of sour milk, buttermilk or youghurt, 2 tbsp kama, 1 tsp honey or jam, or make it salty and add some coriander. makes a good refreshing summer snack.
