Koljivo

Ingredients
-1/2 kg wheat
-1/2 kg walnut
- 10 g vanila sugar
- about ½ kg powder-sugar ( you can put more or less sugar, depends how much sweet you like)
- little cinnamon (if you like it)

Method
-1/2 kg wheat

You have to put wheat in the cold water and leave it for 24 hours. Then you have to infiltrate in pot, then boil it for couple hours.
When it is boiled inflitrate it again, overflow with cold water, and then ground it. Put grounded walnut, sugar, a little cinnamon and vanila sugar.

„Koljivo“ is traditional serbian dessert. It is used on Serbian ortodox Christmas Eve, before dinner every familiy member take a one spoon of this dessert. It is very healthy especialy for your skin because this dessert have a complex of B vitamines.

In Christian Orthodox tradition Koljivo (Kolivo-Greek) is served at the memorial services 40 days and one year after person dies.
