- Grate lemon zest - If desired, add the ground hazelnuts, almonds or dark chocolate pieces - Mold coated with a thin layer of butter, sprinkle breadcrumbs all over it ( shake off excess )
Ingredients
4 egg yolks
280 g sugar
1 vanilla pod
lemon zest
120 g softened butter
10 tbsp milk
3 tbsp oil
280 g flour
1 bag of baking powder
4 egg whites
2 tbsp cocoa
2 tbsp rum
Coating mold: Butter & breadcrumbs
For sprinkling: Powdered sugar
Method
- Mix egg yolks and sugar so you get a foamy structure, add vanilla, lemon zest and softened butter. Then gradually add milk and oil, and in the end stir in flour that is already mixed with baking powder and egg whites foam
- In another bowl - separate one-third of the prepared mixture, add cocoa and rum and stir well
- Sprinkle greased mold with bread crumbs, pour in a layer of yellow mixture, then a layer of brown one, keep on pouring in that order until you have used all the mixture
- Bake cake in preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 20 minutes, then reduce temperature to 150 ° C and bake for another 30 minutes. Shake it out on a plate and allow to cool
- Before serving, sprinkle cake with powdered sugar
