Meang Pla Tou (Mackerel and herbs)

Ingredients
- Fried Mackerel (or other sea fish of your choice)
- Roasted or Fried Peanuts
- Fresh young Ginger, cut into small dice
- Shallot or Red Onion, cut into dice
- Lime, cut into small dice (optional, and you can use lemon instead)
- Bird pepper cut into small piece (optional)
- Fresh Cilantro or Coriander leaves
- Spring Green leaves or any greens/lettuce of your choice

Method
[b]Sauce (Hot and Sour) : [/b]
Mixtured of :
- Lime juice (or Lemon juice)
- Bird Pepper or Green and red chilli, pounded
- Fish sauce (if you can't find Fish sauce useSalt instead of it BUT if you use Soya sauce, you'll get some strange smell sauce :rolleyes:)
- Added some sugar to taste.


[b]To eat : [/b]- Wrapped them with greens and topped with sauce.
It's one of a healthy (appetizer / main ) dish for both children and adults! :)

:) One of our authentic tasty light meal/appetizer is waht we called [b]"Meang" [/b].It is to eat meat with herbs wrapped with greens. There are many kinds of Meangs over here. All are tasty and good for all diet! :D
