This is another recipe I cooked for the magazine article, the staff of the magazine ate with the kachoris that I will be posting later. Hope you try it too.
1 small pineapple (ananas)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp haldi (turmeric powder)
3 tsp oil
1 tsp red chilly powder
2 tsp jeera (cumin seed)
2 tsp garam masala
* Cut the pineapple into small pieces
* Heat the oil in a pan.
* Saute for some time then add the pineapple pieces, turmeric, chilly powder, salt, sugar and 2 cups of water.
* Cook till the pineapple is done. Add more water if required while cooking the pineapple.
* Roast the masala mixture and add it to the chutney.
Serve it with kachoris or samosas.
