This is great as a christmas dinner starter. It is light but really tasty and has always gone down well with my christmas dinner guests - kids think it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s great. You can buy truffles in most big stores in small jars if you can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t get fresh.
Ingredients
Quails eggs
Bread
Butter
Parma ham
Black truffles
Balsamic vinegar
Olive oil
Method
Slice bread into wide soldiers. Using and apple corer, cut a hole at one end. Butter both sides. Toast one side of bread. Place toasted bread onto tin foil toasted side down. Crack quail egg into the hole and toast under grill for 40 to 50 seconds. Plate up, top with parma ham and thinly sliced truffles. Drizzle with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar and serve with i good pinch of sea salt on the side. Yum.
