Ravani (Cake lenten)

4 cups water
1 Ĺ cups olive oil
4 cups sugar
1 orange (juice of)
1/2 kgr fine semolina
1/2 kgr coarse meal
1 baking pan (diameter = 30cm)
sugar, cinnamon and almonds for garnish
Bring all the liquid and sugar to a boil and add the meal a little at time.
Remove from the heat and stir constantly with a wooden spoon, occassionally bring it over medium heat for a minute or so until the mixture thickens and penetrate continuously a knife into the mixture does not stick on the knife.
Then pour the mixture into the baking pan (diameter = 30cm) and press the top with a spatula until the surface smoothens, cut into diamond shapes, and put one almond skinned in each piece.
Then bake at 180 įc, for about 1 hour until the top is golden brownish.
Remove from the oven and when itís cool sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
