Raw Vanilla Ice Cream (sweetened with raw honey!!!)

Added by chooserealfoods | Mon 17 Aug 2009 @ 04:08

Raw Vanilla Ice Cream (sweetened with raw honey!!!)

Ingredients
-2 cups raw cream (or you may use 1 cup raw cream and 1 cup raw whole milk, if you prefer)
-4 eggs
-1/3 cup raw honey
-1 1/2 TBSP organic vanilla extract
-pinch of sea salt

Method
Mix ingredients together in blender. Transfer to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer\'s instructions. Ours takes about 20 minutes.

**Please note: the ice cream shown here was also put in the freezer for a few hours to firm up. If you prefer firm ice cream (as opposed to soft-serve), you may need to do so, as the ice cream maker usually does not freeze it solid!

I should have known Jamie Oliver would have a perfect ice cream recipe for me--not only was I looking for honey-sweetened, but I happen to have raw/fresh milk in the fridge to use. My husband just bought me an ice cream maker as a present, and I can't wait to try this! Thanks, Jamie!

Like Jamie said, Don't panic when you see the word RAW, it's milk at it's best, completely untouched by human hands or machines.
