Russian salad

Everywhere I go I find amazing variety of mixed things topped with mayonaise presented as russian salad, having even beans in it))
so i deciced to make this useful contribution to clear things out))

Ingredients
1 carrot

2 potatoes

1 egg

small can green peas

1 pickled cucumber (better salted than marinated)

100 g boiled beef or chicken (can be replaced by cooked ham)

mayonaise- 4-5 tablespoons

optional- apple, half cucumber (i add both)

Method
Boil eggs (separately), potatoes and carrots. Boil the beef (it has to be tender, so better make it in advance)
Chop into small cubes (0,5cm\\0,5 cm) eggs, carrots, potatoes, meat, cucumber and the rest if you add apple and fresh cucumber
Add peas, mix with mayonaise , cover and put in the fridge to cool down a bit.

This recipe is very popular in Spain. We eat it at home when we have a party or whenever we go to the beach or have a picnic in the country. It is also a "tapa" to serve with scampi, lamb kidneys with sherry sauce, white anchovies in vinegar, fries squid or artichokes marinade. If the mayonaise is too much for you mix 2 tablespoons of mayoinase and 2 of yoghurt and it will be lighter. And don't forget your shandi ..;D
