These are great. Try them in a risotto with creme fraiche (see the variations section on Risotto Bianco), or in pasta. In fact, you could just eat them like a side dish, with steak or pork. Just try them, they are amazing.
Ingredients
- 400g leeks
- a knob of butter(optional)
- olive oil
- dried thyme
Method
1) Put the butter and olive oil in a frying pan, on a medium heat. As soon as it starts to fizz, turn down the heat, to low.
2) Add the leeks and a generous sprinkling of thyme. Saute until soft and sticky.
3) Serve.
