Scottish Dulse Seaweed Soup

Ingredients
Scottish Dulse Seaweed Soup

50g Fresh Dulse seaweed

50g Fresh channel wrack seaweed

1kg vegetables (potato, carrot, onion, peas)

1 1/2 litres water

Salt and pepper

Method

Method 1.Rinse Dulse and Channel wrack . Split the channel wrack ,chop the dulse , cut and dice the vegetables, 2. Add vegetables, seasoning to water, bring to boiling point 3. Simmer until vegetables are tender, about 1 hour. add the dulse and channel wrack to the broth, reheat, check for seasoning, add seasoning to taste

Am about to try it minus the channel wrack (which has the name pelvitia canaliculata which should be prounounced properly or will create a stooshe in the kitchen....) didn't know channel wrack was edible but the family here all from skye insist that chicken stock is used with dulse, being a veggie means I never get to try it
I will see how it goes
