If the above ingredients are meant to make a Carbonara then I am the Pope.
This is what you use for 4 people.
320 g Spaghettoni (largest type of spaghetti or Bucatini, even thicker than spaghettoni
but with a hole); 1 TBS olive oil; 250 g Guanciale or unsmoked pancetta; 4 eggs, 100 g grated
Pecorino Romano (or Sardo) and lots of freshly milled black pepper.
Start cooking the pasta ("al dente") first as the sauce only takes 2/3 minutes to prepare.
Pour oil on a heavy large pan and fry diced Guanciale until the fat has melted.
Beat the eggs and half the cheese.
Drain pasta and place on pan with Guanciale, add the egg mixture, the rest of
the cheese and plate-up. Last thing to do is to mill black pepper over it.
Keep it simple!
