Hi everyone! I saw here few recipes of this really traditional dish. And what I agree for is that this soup is really easy to cook and every hostess has her own way to cook this really delicious meal. Also I\\\'d like to say that this soup can help to warm in cold days. Can cool in heat wether (but you shoud to cook it without meat, the recipe is the same). And also can help in hangover! ;) Enjoy!
Ingredients
For 3 litters pan (at least for 6 persons):
1) 200 g of beef or chicken
2) 3-4 not large potatoes
3) 1 large onion
4) 1 large carrot
5) 1 large beet
6) 200 g of shred cabbage
7) 2-3 cloves of garlic
8) Salt, pepper and bay leaf for taste
9) 1 spoon of vinegar (wine vinegar maybe)
10) 1 spoon of sunflower oil
11) sour cream
Method
Cook broth with beef.
Meanwhile you can clean all vegetables
When the broth is ready put prepared sliced potatoes.
Meanwhile chop onion and put it on heated pan whith oil.
When onion become gold then put there rubbed carrot.
Chop cabbage and put it in broth.
In 5-7 minutes of frying carrot with onion put these all in your broth.
When you potatoes will be almost ready then you put there rubbed beet. NOTE! The real borscht must have rich burgundy colour! And if you boil your soup too much it will loose colour! When vegetables will be ready put in garlick and vinegar. Serve with sour cream. Bon appetit!
