This is a basic recipe for vanilla ice cream, is simply delicious...
250 ml whole milk
250 ml cream
1 vanilla stick
6 egg yolks
100 g caster sugar
Mix whole milk and cream, then place in a large pot to boil. Add vanilla pod and seeds too. Bring the temperature up to 65įC for 3-4 minutes to pasteurize the ingredients. When it was boiled, remove and let to rest about 30 minutes.
Whisk the egg yolk and sugar together, then add to the milk and whisk again.
Heat gently until the mixture will coat the back of a spoon.
Transfer the vanilla base to an ice cream machine and turn it on. Follow the ice cream machine instructions.
If you don\'t have an ice cream machine, place the base into the freezer for an hour, take it out and stir it well, then place back into the freezer to freeze again. Repeat the process every 30 minutes until ice cream is ready.
