This is a basic recipe for vanilla ice cream, is simply delicious...
Ingredients
250 ml whole milk
250 ml cream
1 vanilla stick
6 egg yolks
100 g caster sugar
Method
Mix whole milk and cream, then place in a large pot to boil. Add vanilla pod and seeds too. Bring the temperature up to 65°C for 3-4 minutes to pasteurize the ingredients. When it was boiled, remove and let to rest about 30 minutes.
Whisk the egg yolk and sugar together, then add to the milk and whisk again.
Heat gently until the mixture will coat the back of a spoon.
Transfer the vanilla base to an ice cream machine and turn it on. Follow the ice cream machine instructions.
If you don\'t have an ice cream machine, place the base into the freezer for an hour, take it out and stir it well, then place back into the freezer to freeze again. Repeat the process every 30 minutes until ice cream is ready.
Enjoy...

caster sugar is ground sugar, powder...
vanilla stick or vanilla pod, you must to cut in half and use the seeds from vanilla...
I mean that sugar must be ground, powdered and vanilla stick = vanilla pod...
Thank you for this recipe that looks to be fairly simple! I have not heard of "caster sugar" -- can you tell me what that is? I am in the United States.
I will look for a vanilla stick--I have not seen one of those, so far.
Thank you for sharing your lovely recipe!!
