Vegetarian Curry with Chickpeas

Fast food! And it is very easy to make. The amount of chilli can be reduced if you want a milder curry.

Ingredients
300 g pre-cooked chickpeas
oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 red chilli pepper, finely chopped, with or without seeds
1 tsp dried coriander
1/2 tsp nigella seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cumin
2 tbs water
1 tin with nice tomatoes, or 3 ripe tomatoes, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
Basmati rice
Lime
Naan bread or toast

Method
1. Heat up some oil (I often use peanut oil for this type of food) in a pan. Mix the turmeric, cumin, coriander, nigella seeds, red chilli, onion and water and let it fry for just a couple of minutes.

2. Add the chickpeas, the tomatoes and the salt. Now, let this cook for about 7-10 minutes.

3. Basically, that\'s it... Serve with basmati rice, lime and a nice bread. A nice chutney also goes very well with this dish.

Why is there no nutritional info for any of the recipe's?

nigella is otherwise known as onion seed, though it has nothing to do with onions. They're the sweetish warm little crunchy seeds often served in naans. There's no real substitute, but poppy seeds or black seasame would work in a pinch.
