  • For The Cake:
  • 5 yolks
  • 5 eggs white 'in castle' (making them grow)
  • 200 g sugar
  • 250 g ground walnuts
  • 15 g flour
  • 10 g baking powder
  • Halfs of Walnuts
  • For The Soft Eggs (Ovos moles):
  • 500 g sugar
  • 15 yolks
  • 2,5 dl of water
(Bolo de nozes e ovos moles) Cake Preparation: Mix the sugar with the yolks, add the ground walnuts, flower and baking powder, then envolve the 'in castle' eggs white. Cover a rectangular tray with 'tracing' paper (papel vegetal) and smear margerine, Pour the mixed ingredients in the tray and take it to the oven at 180º for 20 minutes. Soft eggs Preparation: Burn the sugar with water for 10 minutes. After let it get colder and pour it over the yolks. Mix it very well and put over fire to thicken. Presentation: Cut the cake in half (horizontal) and spread the soft eggs in one half, top with the other half of cake and cover the whole cake with the soft eggs. Decorate with halfs of walnuts.
