In a bowl cream together the sugar and butter until pail and fluffy. Then add the egg and flour to the mixture a little at a time then when it is all combined beat the mixture well and transfer it into the tin.
Arrange the pears on top of the cake with a little of the toffee juice then place in the oven for 45 minuets. this cake is a moist cake so don\'t think you have done anything wrong.
