I had some green last beautiful tomatoes in my kitchen and sliced them, I fried/roasted?? speck in olive oil till crispy, added the tomatoes' medals with some salt and let them become just soft turning them on both sides to take on the speck savor, I ate this as side dish to my pane e formaggio while thinking it could have ended also as a sweet/sour confusion adding to it sugar and vinegar ....... but I did not dare, maybe next time, or this can be done by someone braver than me
