This is a low-fat dessert for a change! Itīs quickly made, just the way I like it. The only thing necessary is that it needs some time to thicken in the fridge, at least one hour would be good! You can also prepare it the day before you want to serve it, I like the texture most when itīs prepared about 4-5 hours before serving. If you want this to be all low-fat, just donīt use the whipped cream but the strawberries for decoration/as a topping. You can also replace the sugar with some honey and in case you want to serve this dessert to kids, too, just leave the liqueur out. This recipy is meant for 4 portions.
Ingredients
200 g quark (low-fat)
100 g yoghurt (low-fat)
250 g strawberries
1 tblspoon apricot liqueur
20 g vanilla sugar
3 gelatine sheets (5 g altogether)
-------------------------
200 g whipped cream incl.
10 g vanilla sugar
ALTERNATIVE
4 strawberries for decoration
Method
Prepare the gelatine sheets by putting them in a bowl with cold water and leave for 5-10 minutes.
Take your blender and fill it with the quark, yoghurt, strawberries and liqueur. Blend until itīs smooth and creamy. Now add the sugar, not all at once, though. Taste every now and then until itīs as sweet as you want it (do the same if you replace the sugar with honey!). Cool the mass in the fridge.
Sqeeze the water out of the gelatine sheets, put it in a pot and carefully melt it on the stove. Take the pot of the stove and add some of the strawberry-quark to it, stir and pour the gelatine into the bowl with the quark. Stir again and fill the dessert in four glasses.
Put the glasses in the fridge and allow to cool until itīs got the texture you want.
Now decorate with the strawberries or whipped cream

You don't have to use any gelatin, it's fine with out it. Agar agar is a substitute.
Of course adding whipped cream makes it a high fat desert!
this has hugely helped me in my course. thank you
I would like to use low-fat quark in my recipes. I cannot find low-fat quark where I live in the U.S. Can you tell me what is the best substitute(s) for low-fat quark?

Thank you.
if i can't find gelatin sheets, can i use knox gelatin?
