In the final month of the course, our Class of 2012 worked hard towards our annual "Chefs' Week", when the professional chefs go away and the apprentices are left to run the kitchen.  As 2012 marks our 10-year anniversary, Chefs' Week was a particularly grand affair this year with special-guest appearances from big names in the industry.  These included Michael Wignall (The Latymer Restaurant), Pascal Aussignac (Club Gascon), Jacob Kennedy (Bocca Di Lupo), Bruno Loubet (Bistro Bruno Loubet), Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver (St John), Jun Tanaka (Pearl), Mark Sargeant (Rocksalt), Nuno Mendes (Viajante), Jeremy Lee (Quo Vadis), Mark Askew (Cirrus Inns) and Francesco Mazzei (L'Anima).

The week was a triumph with every apprentice proving how far they had come throughout the year and showing guest professionalism.  Yet it was Tony Phillips who particularly shone throughout the week.  In recognition of his achievements, Tony was named Star of Chefs' Week and awarded a Kin knife.  He will also have the pleasure of accompanying the restaurant on a trip to Tuscany later in the year.  Well done Tony!
