Nunzio Citro

Nunzio Citro was in the Fifteen Apprentice Scheme class of 2003. During the programme Nunzio had a great deal of successes and achievements, and when he graduated he got a job working at Cecconi’s in Mayfair. However, deep down he knew that his passion wasn’t in the kitchen. During the time he worked at Cecconi’s, Nunzio found himself walking down Cork Street, and looking at all the art galleries he realised that this is where his passion lay. After travelling for four months, he came back to the UK and started a new life as an artist. “Fifteen had given me the direction, but my heart wasn’t in being a chef and I realised I’d have to get out while I was still able to. I realised life was not a rehearsal and that I had a lifetime to fulfil my dreams, but I had to put one foot on the path…and so I did.”
