Monica is best known as Sous Chef at Michel Roux Jr’s Le Gavroche restaurant in London, as well as being the author of ‘Monica’s Kitchen’.
Monica has worked with Michel Roux JR for more than 10 years. She trained in New Zealand and whilst travelling around Europe, sent her CV to Le Gavroche. Michel employed her in 2000 and since then she has worked her way up through the kitchen, becoming the first woman to ever cook on ‘Meat and Fish’, before setting up Le Gavroche des Tropiques in Mauritius.
Monica now juggles her time between Le Gavroche, her television roles and being a mother to Anais Emily, who was born in 2006.
