jamie's chef

synopsis

When Fifteen began all those years ago with KerryAnn and Johnny and the rest of the class, it was always Jamie’s dream to see one of the students go on to run their own restaurant. So in 2006 he invited all the old graduates back for a bit of a reunion and offered them the chance to do just that. The winner basically got to run their own business – a bit of a challenge for anyone.

Jamie got the graduates to present their signature dishes and chat about their ideas for a restaurant before he and some of the trustees from the The Jamie Oliver Foundation picked the four they thought had the most potential. The series follows the lucky four as they are put to the test in some of London's most challenging restaurants, and some special events cooked up by Jamie! They're a fantastic bunch of people and it’s a rollercoaster ride all the way to the end.

• 4 x 60 minute episodes

The Jamie Oliver Foundation is a registered charity whose mission is to educate and empower as many people as possible to love and enjoy good food. This means learning how to cook, understanding where food comes from, and recognizing the power it can have on our health, happiness, and even finances. We do this through teaching, training and employment, and also by making good clear information available to as many people as possible. Visit http://www.jamieoliver.com/foundation/ to find out more about the charity and its various projects.
The restaurants and apprentice program that Jamie set up during the making of Jamie’s Kitchen is still running successfully today. To find out more about it visit.
